Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Dining Bus Driver to join our team at Village Green Federal Way Senior Living. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing safe and reliable transportation for our senior residents on campus and be willing to work a part time afternoon schedule from ~ 4:30pm-7pm. The vehicle does not require a CDL license.
*Must be at least 21 years of age with clean driving record*
Duties
- Safely operate a bus or van, ensuring the timely transport of residents on campus.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Assist residents with boarding and alighting, providing support as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior.
- Document any incidents or issues that arise during transport.
- Assist the with dining department with duties as needed
Experience
- Previous experience in commercial bus driving or van driving preferred.
- Experience working with seniors is a plus.
- Familiarity with paratransit services is advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills are essential for interacting positively with residents.
Physical Demands: This position requires individual to be in good physical condition. The driver needs to provide assistance to the residents as they get on and off bus and van. Must be able to lift and carry boxes and bags up to 20 lbs for a short distance.
The individual must have the ability to drive a bus or van for at least one hour at a time.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12 – 15 per week
