Job Overview
We are seeking energetic and friendly Host staff to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests and ensure a smooth flow of service throughout the establishment. As the first point of contact, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional guest experiences by managing reservations, greeting visitors, and coordinating seating arrangements.
These are full time and part time permanent positions. No summer help please
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival with a lively and professional demeanor, making them feel valued from the moment they walk in
- Manage reservations efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms to organize seating arrangements
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and smooth service flow
- Answer guest inquiries via phone or in person with clear, friendly communication, providing information about wait times, menu options, or special events
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area to uphold a welcoming environment
- Assist with guest seating adjustments during busy periods to optimize flow and reduce wait times
- Support guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and courteously, ensuring a positive experience for all visitors
- Ring in, package and execute take out orders
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a host or hostess in food service or restaurant settings is highly preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally in diverse situations
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms is advantageous
- Experience working in hospitality environments like hotels or restaurants is a plus
- Excellent phone etiquette and guest relations skills to handle inquiries and resolve issues gracefully
- Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure
- Prior experience with serving or guest services roles is beneficial but not required
