Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dependable Truck Driver / Warehouse professional to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a 26' straight truck with lift gate to locally deliver goods efficiently while also managing warehouse operations. Your energetic approach will ensure timely deliveries, excellent customer service, and smooth handling of materials. Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 26' straight truck with lift gate, adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and traffic laws during route driving and delivery.
- Load, unload, and secure cargo using manual handling techniques, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections on vehicles to ensure safety and compliance before each route.
- Deliver goods directly to customers’ locations or warehouses, ensuring accurate order fulfillment and exceptional customer service.
- Manage warehouse activities such as inventory management, stock organization, and maintaining a clean workspace.
- Use mobile devices or GPS systems to navigate routes efficiently while adhering to scheduled delivery times.
- Load and unload shipments manually or with equipment, practicing safe lifting practices and heavy lifting techniques to prevent injuries.
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse operations combined with commercial driving expertise.
- Familiarity with driving box trucks and commercial trucks with automatic transmission capabilities.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, traffic laws, weight handling in the workplace, and safe lifting practices.
- Experience operating material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients.
- Ability to handle heavy loads manually or with equipment while maintaining safety standards.
- Competence in route driving, manual handling, moving goods efficiently, and adhering to delivery schedules using mobile devices or navigation tools.
