JOB DETAIL:
Class A Shop Foreman / Lead Mechanic Must have 10+ years municipal / commercial up fitting experience, primarily the installation of dump bodies, plows and spreaders, PTO's and pumps on tri-axle trucks. Supervisory experience needed.
Class A Mechanic: Must have 5+ years municipal / commercial up fitting experience,
Basic duties: Performs work necessary to build, weld, assemble, customize, fabricate, install, mechanical and electrical components of commercial dump bodies, (Beau-Roc , Proline, Airflo ) snowplows (Viking), salter's and sander's (Hi-Way, Tarco) and Tarp systems (Aero, Roll Rite )
Foreman duties: Hire, train and maintain the workforce of a busy 24 bay facility. Working Forman will work when needed and grow into the General Manager position over time depending on the individuals, performance, supervisory experience and leadership.
Expectations:
- Safe usage of hand and power tools
- Uses work orders, drawings to determine repairs or custom installation / fabrication procedures and sequence of operations.
- Perform installation (+ welding) and testing of cab shields, hoists, air-gates, tailgate, coal doors, swing doors, lighting, hydraulic systems, electronic tarp system.
- Maintain your personal tool inventory.
- Maintain job files, Pick-ticket and time-card for job costing.
- Communicate with others to fit and align heavy parts or expedite processing of repair parts.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required (electrical, mechanical)
- A minimum of 5 years of relative experience acquired within the past 10 years to be considered for Class A mechanic and 10+ years to be considered for Shop Foreman.
- Must be able to accomplish full repairs, installations, modifications, with little to no assistance or supervision.
- Ability to read, understand and interpret, instructions, drawings and technical plans.
- Ability to adhere to garage PPE and company EHS guidelines. (Safety footwear, eye protection, noise protection and welding PPE required)

Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
