Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Optician or doctor assistant to join our healthcare team. Your role will include but not limited to helping patients select frames and lenses, managing front desk tasks, delivering excellent patient service, verifying medical and vision insurance, and ensuring HIPAA compliance. This position is key to creating a friendly patient experience while efficiently handling administrative duties.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome patients warmly and assist with the check-in process.
- Frame patients with the latest styles and ensure accurate measurements are taken.
- Pre-test and contact lens training.
- Schedule appointments and manage provider calendars.
- Verify patient insurance details and handle insurance-related tasks.
- Keep accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Assist with medical coding and ensure proper documentation of care plans.
- Provide administrative support to healthcare providers, including phone calls and correspondence.
- Work with staff to maintain smooth office operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Optician is a must.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Great verbal and written communication skills for interacting with patients and staff.
- Ability to multitask and stay professional in a fast-paced environment.
