The Medical Staff Credentialing Coordinator is a management support position with responsibilities for medical staff functions to maintain federal, state, and other licensing regulatory standards. Helps coordinate meeting agendas, minutes, and follow-up. Acts as liaison between medical staff office and medical staff. This position requires travel to all site locations.
Education
High School Diploma or GED
Experience
Three years of related experience. Requires working knowledge of specialized practices, equipment, and procedures.
Qualifications
- Ability to maintain confidentiality a must.
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
- Excellent customer relations skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Minimum 3 years experience in administrative support function, preferably in a medical management setting.
- Must be diplomatic and tactful.
- Must have a professional image.
- Preferred certification CPCS or CPMSM after three years of experience in Medical Staff Office.
- Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook). Ability to learn additional programs used in the department.
- Proficient organization skills for multi-tasking. detail oriented.
