Dental Assistant – Baltimore Area
Smile Loft Dental is growing, and we are looking for an experienced Dental Assistant to join our team! We are seeking a dependable, motivated, and patient-focused professional who is passionate about providing exceptional care and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
This position will primarily support our Catonsville and/ or Middle River locations. Candidates should be comfortable working in either office and have reliable transportation.
Position Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Dental Assistant in a general dentistry setting
- Active Maryland Radiology Certification required
- Reliable transportation and flexibility to work in Catonsville and Middle River
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Strong chairside assisting experience
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a team environment
- Spanish speaking is a plus
- Experience with SoftDent is a plus
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during a variety of treatment procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for patient care
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Review medical histories and record vital signs
- Maintain infection control standards and sterilization protocols
- Provide chairside support during restorative, surgical, and preventive procedures
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
- Take impressions and assist with laboratory procedures
- Ensure patient comfort before, during, and after treatment
- Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and team members
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation
- Listen to and incorporate constructive feedback to support personal and team growth
