GH Logistics is a fast-growing freight brokerage and asset-based transportation company. We move freight 24/7 and are looking for an experienced operations professional to lead our overnight brokerage operation.
This is not an entry-level role and it is not a position for someone who wants to be managed every step of the way. We need someone who can take ownership, solve problems independently, and keep freight moving when the rest of the office is asleep.
Position Overview
The Night Shift Brokerage Operations Lead is responsible for overseeing all overnight freight activity, managing active loads, supporting carriers and customers, supervising overnight support staff, and ensuring a smooth transition to the day shift.
You will be the primary decision-maker during overnight operations and will be expected to identify issues before they become problems.
Responsibilities

Monitor and manage active loads throughout the shift

Track freight movement and maintain carrier communication

Book and cover open loads using DAT, Truckstop, and other load boards

Negotiate carrier rates and secure capacity

Respond to customer and carrier issues in real time

Manage and support overnight FMT personnel

Escalate critical operational issues when necessary

Maintain visibility across all overnight freight activity

Produce a detailed shift handoff report each morning

Ensure no load falls through the cracks during shift transitions

Support weekend operations and after-hours coverage
Qualifications Required

Minimum 2 years of freight brokerage, carrier sales, dispatch, or transportation operations experience

Previous overnight operations experience

Experience using DAT, Truckstop, or similar load boards

Strong carrier negotiation skills

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Reliable attendance and responsiveness

Compensation

$62,000 annual base salary
