We are seeking an experienced, highly responsible General Manager / Director of Operations to lead the day-to-day operations of a growing premium meat and food business in South Florida.
This is a senior, hands-on leadership position for someone who can independently manage operations, employees, inventory, production flow, vendors, fulfillment, and overall business performance with limited owner involvement.
Key Responsibilities - Manage day-to-day business operations - Lead and supervise employees and production staff - Manage inventory, purchasing, production schedules, and fulfillment - Maintain strong operational controls over food cost, labor, waste, and margins - Coordinate with vendors, processors, logistics providers, and wholesale customers - Ensure high standards of food safety, cleanliness, quality, and customer service - Track operational KPIs and provide regular performance reports to ownership - Take ownership of operational problems and resolve them independently
Qualifications - 5+ years of management experience in food operations, meat processing, food manufacturing, wholesale food distribution, butcher operations, or a related field - Strong experience managing employees and day-to-day operations - Understanding of inventory management, food cost, margins, and P&L - Experience with USDA-regulated food operations, HACCP, food safety, or meat processing is highly preferred .
Experience in kosher or halal food operations is a strong advantage, but not required.
Experience with wholesale, retail, e-commerce, or fulfillment is a plus
Strong leadership, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills - Must be comfortable making independent decisions and taking full ownership of daily operations Compensation Base salary: $80,000-$100,000 per year, depending on experience. Additional significant performance-based bonuses are available based on profitability, operational efficiency, growth, inventory control, waste reduction, and other agreed performance targets. Strong performers can earn total annual compensation above the base salary. Full-time position based in South Florida.
