Custodian / Maintenance Technician Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Custodian/Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and well-maintained facility while providing light maintenance support as needed. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of all assigned areas of the facility.
- Perform routine custodial duties, including cleaning restrooms, offices, meeting rooms, common areas, and other designated spaces.
- Vacuum, sweep, mop, polish, and maintain all flooring surfaces.
- Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables throughout the facility.
- Restock restroom and janitorial supplies as needed.
- Perform light building maintenance and minor repairs as assigned.
- Set up and tear down tables, chairs, and equipment to support multiple meetings and events each day.
- Monitor the facility for maintenance or safety concerns and report issues promptly.
- Follow established cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure a consistently clean and sanitary environment.
- Operate cleaning equipment and maintain tools in good working condition.
- Comply with all workplace safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous custodial, janitorial, or facilities maintenance experience preferred.
- Knowledge of commercial cleaning methods, equipment, and safety practices.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Basic computer and smartphone proficiency.
- Excellent reliability, attendance, and communication skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry at least 40 pounds.
- Ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday.
- Ability to navigate and maintain a 26,000-square-foot facility.
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders while carrying equipment or supplies.
- Ability to set up and remove tables, chairs, and other equipment for multiple daily meetings and events.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
