Position Summary
The LECEA Success Coordinator provides direct support to early childhood educators and recruitment of employer partners participating in the Louisiana Early Childhood Educator Apprenticeship (LECEA) program. This role focuses on coaching, career navigation, and professional development to support apprentices as they progress through program requirements and advance within the early childhood education profession.
Success Coordinators serve as the primary support system for apprentices, helping them navigate credentialing pathways, strengthen classroom practice, and develop the professional skills necessary for long-term career success. The Success Coordinator provides individualized coaching, facilitates professional development workshops, and works closely with employer partners and mentors to ensure apprentices receive a high-quality learning experience.
This role also supports the completion of the Child Development Associate (CDA) credential and the Louisiana Early Childhood Education Ancillary Certificate (ECAC) while assisting apprentices in overcoming academic, professional, or personal barriers that may impact program success.
Core Responsibilities
Participant Coaching and Support
Provide individualized coaching and guidance to apprentices participating in the LECEA program.
Serve as a primary point of contact for apprentices, responding to questions and supporting them through program requirements.
Support apprentices in navigating coursework, work-based learning expectations, and credential completion requirements.
Develop strategies to support apprentices facing academic, professional, or personal challenges that may impact program success.
Credentialing and Career Navigation
Assist apprentices in completing requirements for the Child Development Associate (CDA) credential.
Support apprentices in navigating the Louisiana Early Childhood Education Ancillary Certificate (ECAC) process.
Help participants explore career pathways and opportunities for continued professional growth in early childhood education.
Connect apprentices with additional training opportunities and professional development resources.
Professional Development and Training
Facilitate training sessions and workshops focused on classroom practice and professional skills.
Deliver professional development on topics such as communication, leadership, workplace professionalism, and classroom effectiveness.
Support apprentices in strengthening instructional practices and implementing best practices in early childhood education.
Classroom Observation and Support
Conduct classroom observations of apprentices at participating early learning centers.
Provide feedback and coaching to support skill development and classroom effectiveness.
Collaborate with mentors and center staff to ensure apprentices receive appropriate support within their work environment.
Program Monitoring and Progress Tracking
Track apprentice milestones, training participation, and completion of program requirements.
Monitor attendance, engagement, and program participation.
Identify potential barriers to program completion and coordinate with the Program Manager to implement support strategies.
Maintain accurate records of participant progress and program activities.
Coordination and Communication
Maintain regular communication with employer partners, mentors, and training providers.
Facilitate communication between apprentices, employer sites, and program leadership.
Assist with program orientations, meetings, and workshops for apprentices.
Support coordination of activities related to apprenticeship implementation.
Data Collection and Reporting
Collect and document information related to apprentice participation and progress.
Support program data collection processes to assist with program monitoring and evaluation.
Collaborate with the LECEA Program Manager and Director of Data Management to ensure accurate reporting and documentation.
Contribute to continuous program improvement through documentation and feedback.
Key Deliverables
Successful completion of apprenticeship program milestones by participants
Increased completion of CDA credentials and ECAC certification
High levels of apprentice engagement and retention
Strong communication with employer partners and training providers
Accurate documentation of apprentice participation and progress
Qualifications Required
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Human Services, Workforce Development, or a related field
Experience working with early childhood educators, workforce development programs, or participant support services
Strong understanding of the challenges faced by early childhood educators
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
Travel within the Baton Rouge and New Orleans Metro areas.
Preferred
Experience supporting the Child Development Associate (CDA) credentialing process
Familiarity with the Louisiana Early Childhood Education Ancillary Certificate (ECAC)
Experience providing coaching, mentoring, or case management services
Experience facilitating training or professional development sessions
Experience collecting and documenting program data

Pay: $47,059.17 - $56,673.41 per year
