Logistics Administrator Opportunity
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Administrator to join their growing team in Edison, NJ. This Temp-to-Perm Logistics Administrator position offers an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in logistics, inventory control, shipping and receiving, and administrative support to build a long-term career.
The ideal Logistics Administrator will be organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities while supporting both warehouse and office operations. If you have experience with domestic and international shipping, inventory management, and logistics documentation, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Logistics Administrator Responsibilities
- Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure accurate and on-time deliveries.
- Communicate with freight forwarders, carriers, couriers, and transportation providers.
- Prepare and maintain shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and customs paperwork.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with cycle counts and stock reconciliation.
- Support warehouse operations by organizing, labeling, and tracking inventory.
- Process shipping and receiving paperwork with accurate data entry and filing.
- Respond to customer and vendor inquiries regarding shipments and logistics.
- Maintain detailed logistics records and administrative documentation.
- Assist logistics and operations teams with daily administrative tasks.
- Help ensure warehouse safety, organization, and compliance with company procedures.
Logistics Administrator Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics, warehouse administration, shipping, receiving, or supply chain.
- Experience working with UPS, FedEx, DHL, or similar shipping platforms.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of import/export documentation and Incoterms.
- Experience working in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Understanding of inventory management practices such as FIFO.
- Forklift certification or forklift experience is a plus.
- Dependable, flexible, and team-oriented with a positive attitude.
