Do you feel led to make a difference in your community?
We’re hiring Program Support Associates to join our Energy team at HopeSource!
This part-time seasonal position helps support our Energy Assistance program and the individuals and families we serve. You’ll work directly with clients, help guide them through the assistance process, coordinate documentation and services, and provide important administrative support to keep applications moving smoothly.
We’re looking for someone who is compassionate, organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with people. If you enjoy helping others, solving problems, and being part of work that directly benefits your community, this may be the opportunity for you!
At HopeSource, we EQUIP people with the tools they need, ENCOURAGE them with skills and hope for a better tomorrow, and EMPOWER them with the belief that they can thrive.
Because Hope Changes Everything!
At HopeSource, we believe every person deserves to live in a safe, warm home. Our seasonal Energy Assistance Intake Staff play a vital role in ensuring our neighbors stay warm each winter by guiding them through the process of receiving energy assistance.
Each year, our energy assistance programs work with more than 1,000 Kittitas County households. The programs we administer provide in excess of $1 million annually in direct energy assistance, helping reduce the burden of utility costs and increasing household stability.
Intake staff are the first point of contact for many clients, walking them through documentation requirements, calculating assistance amounts based on established formulas, coordinating with local utilities and vendors, and ensuring each file is complete and accurate. Intake staff also listen carefully, assess needs, and connect individuals with additional services through HopeSource or trusted community partners.
Responsibilities:
-
Provide direct client services and administrative support for the Energy Assistance program.
-
Communicate with clients to coordinate services.
-
Perform program client intake and program referral functions.
-
Perform general program administrative functions including data entry, reporting, schedule coordination, and file management.
-
Attend staff trainings, staff meetings, and other professional trainings as assigned.
-
Perform other duties as assigned, including responsibilities with other HopeSource grants/programs.
