Job Description:
The Aerospace Assembly & MRO Technician II independently performs assembly, overhaul, repair, inspection, and testing activities on multiple product lines. This position is responsible for troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, ensuring first-time quality, and supporting the development of Level I technicians.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Independently disassemble, inspect, repair, overhaul, reassemble, and test aerospace components.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems to identify and isolate faults.
- Interpret technical drawings, specifications, work instructions, and technical orders.
- Identify out-of-tolerance conditions, inspection findings, and test failures.
- Ensure work meets quality and customer requirements with minimal supervision.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and production documentation.
- Coordinate workflow activities with senior technicians and supervisors.
- Provide guidance and training to Technician I personnel.
- Support continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action efforts
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
Knowledge & Skills
- 3+ years of assembly, maintenance, overhaul, manufacturing, aerospace, military, or related technical experience.
- Demonstrated success working across multiple product lines preferred
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electromechanical systems.
- Proficiency with precision measuring equipment.
- Ability to independently troubleshoot and diagnose component failure
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, lifting, bending, and reaching.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely.
- Ability to wear required PPE.
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Technical school, associate degree, military technical training, or equivalent experience preferred.
Work Eligibility (ITAR): This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident or persons with protected status.
