Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our team. In this vital role, you will oversee the accurate and efficient handling of inbound and outbound shipments, accurate record keeping and ensuring seamless warehouse operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be a key player in a fast-paced environment, supporting distribution activities with precision and enthusiasm.
Responsibilities
- Manage the receipt, inspection, and documentation of incoming shipments.
- Prepare outbound shipments by packaging, weighing, creating shipping documents, setting up small package, LTL and Truckload shipments.
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to safely to load and unload trucks, move stock within the warehouse, and organize inventory efficiently.
- Conduct stock counts, reconcile discrepancies, and maintain accurate records for audit readiness.
- Assist in optimizing warehouse distribution workflows by implementing best practices in stocking, picking and packing procedures.
Qualifications
- Proven warehouse experience with a strong understanding of shipping logistics and inventory management.
- Experience operating a forklift, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment preferred.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for inventory counts and shipment documentation.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills; ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical capability to lift heavy packages, stand for extended periods, and operate warehouse machinery safely.
