MultiCare Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital is the state-designated Level II Pediatric Trauma Center and the only pediatric hospital in Washington’s South Sound Region dedicated exclusively to caring for children and adolescents. Our new, state-of-the-art pediatric hospital and medical office building in Tacoma, WA, just opened in May and we are seeking imaging technologists who want to help shape care, culture, and clinical excellence from day one.

Position Summary
The Certified Surgical Technologist is responsible for assisting with the care and preparation of the surgical patient and the operating room under the direct supervision of an operating room RN. The Surgical Technologist has responsibility for the assembly, set-up, and use of surgical instrumentation and equipment during surgical procedures. Work situations are primarily routine but may change rapidly to an emergent or critical situation, and may require both directed and independent decision-making depending on the nature of the situation.

Requirements
- 5+ yrs of general surgical technologist experience in acute care setting OR previous pediatric experience in a surgical technologist role
- Graduate of Certified Surgical Technologist program or equivalent experience
- National certification as a Surgical Technologist preferred
- Active Washington State Surgical Technologist Registration required prior to start date
- Health Care Provider level CPR certification
- Previous experience preferred
