JOB
This position in the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida, is for providing information technology support to users, computer systems, networks, and software applications. The role includes supporting both locally developed and nationally supported systems, ensuring reliable IT operations across the court unit while providing exceptional user support.
Key Responsibilities-
Provide help desk and technical support for IT equipment, systems, and users.

Monitor and maintain day-to-day IT operations, ensuring system reliability.

Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software.

Support Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive and OneNote

Support mobile devices (phones, tablets, laptops) and Apple operating systems (iOS/macOS).

Maintain and support courtroom audio-visual equipment and evidence presentation systems.

Collaborate with IT staff across divisions to standardize systems and practices.

Maintain documentation for user guides, systems, and applications.
-
Manage IT inventory lifecycle, including logistics, receiving, tracking, data entry, and deployment.

Assist in IT project implementation, integration, and system improvements.

Build awareness of judiciary security standards and policies, and comply with standards of system security, data integrity, and confidentiality.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities-
Knowledge of IT systems, hardware, software, and data communications.

Understanding of LAN/WAN networking and cybersecurity principles. Experience preferred

Ability to analyze and resolve complex technical problems.

Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills, both in writing and in person.

Explicit troubleshooting methodology expectation for technical problem solving and research

Microsoft Office 365 certification preferred. CompTIA A+ and Net+ certifications preferred.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
- Minimum of four (4) years of progressively responsible IT experience.

Experience with IT systems, data processing, and communications.

Experience supporting hardware/software in a user-based environment.
-
Certifications such as Microsoft 365, CompTIA A+, or Network+ are preferred.
