Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly with genuine enthusiasm and professionalism to create an inviting atmosphere
- Manage reservation systems and seating arrangements efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Answer phone inquiries with courteous phone etiquette, providing accurate information and assistance
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and smooth flow of service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area to uphold high standards of hospitality
- Assist guests with special requests or accommodations to enhance their overall experience
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve concerns promptly to foster positive guest relations
Requirements
- Previous host/hostess experience or food service background preferred but not required
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Experience in hotel or guest services environments is advantageous
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Professional phone etiquette and guest relations skills are essential
