Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. In this role, you will be essential in preparing ingredients, assisting with food assembly, and supporting the kitchen to ensure smooth daily operations. Your culinary skills and commitment to food safety will help us deliver exceptional meals that delight our customers.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients: Wash, chop, portion, and season meats, vegetables, and other food items.
- Cook menu items: Cook dishes to order using grills, ovens, fryers, and other kitchen equipment.
- Maintain quality: Ensure all food meets our standards for taste, presentation, and temperature.
- Manage stations: Set up, stock, and break down prep and cooking stations daily.
- Follow safety standards: Keep workspaces and non-workspaces clean and adhere to all local health department regulations.
- Monitor inventory: Track ingredient levels and notify management when supplies run low.
Requirements
- Experience: 1+ years of experience as a prep cook or line cook (Preferred).
- Skills: Strong knife skills and familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment.
- Physical ability: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Schedule: Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and evenings (As needed).
- Certification: Valid food handler’s card or safety certification (Preferred).
Pay: $9.00 - $14.00 per hour
