Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Behavioral Support

Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (40 Hours/Week)
$18.00 per hour + $25 Weekly Fuel Reimbursement
VBP Health LLC is seeking a dependable and patient Direct Support Professional to support an adult male with intellectual and developmental disabilities. While the individual is independent in many daily living activities, he may exhibit challenging behaviors and requires consistent support, structure, and supervision.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one support in the home and community
- Assist with community outings, appointments, and recreational activities
- Implement behavioral support strategies and follow individualized plans
- Encourage independence while ensuring health and safety
- Maintain professional boundaries and positive interactions
- Complete daily documentation and service notes accurately and timely
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, family members, and team members
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass background screening
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience supporting individuals with IDD and behavioral challenges preferred
- CPR/First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain

- Able to remain calm during challenging situations
- Experience with community-based support services is a plus
Compensation & Benefits
- $18.00 per hour
- $25 weekly fuel reimbursement
