Overview:
The busser is responsible for providing excellent customer service by maintaining a clean and organized dining area, assisting servers/bartenders, and ensuring guest satisfaction. The ideal candidate is hard-working, reliable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Clear tables and clean dishes, utensils, glassware, and plasticware promptly and efficiently from tables.
- Reset tables for new customers, ensuring that the table is clean and organized with appropriate set-up & condiments.
- Assist servers in providing excellent customer service, including delivering food and drinks, and checking on guests (when needed) to ensure satisfaction.
- Keep the dining area clean and organized, including sweeping and mopping the floors, wiping down tables and chairs, and ensuring that the dining area is free of debris and clutter.
- Assist in opening and closing procedures, including stocking supplies, preparing the dining area for service, and cleaning and organizing the restaurant at the end of the night.
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures, including handling food and equipment safely and correctly.
- Other duties as assigned by the manager.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a restaurant setting is preferred, but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 30 pounds.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays.
