DUI Group Leader - Part-Time
Purpose: To provide Drinking Driver participants with professional Group sessions and carry out provisions of Title 9 per State and County guidelines.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Experience providing Group session services.
- Ability to manage participants through DUI services.
- Knowledge and ability to implement Title 9.
- Education and Professional background in human services, education or health care discipline.
- Cultural Competency.
- Monitors participant activities, verify documents and guides the participant to completion of program.
- Possess the skills to identify and refer clients to “outside” services when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Encourages the participants to talk and share ideas and information to identify and resolve alcohol or drug related problems.
- Provides an opportunity for participants to examine their own personal attitudes and behavior.
- Provides support for positive changes in lifestyle to facilitate reduction or elimination of alcohol or drug problems.
- Sessions may emphasize a specific topic or may be less structured in nature.
- The licensee shall not use films or lectures to meet the number of hours of group sessions.
- Time allowed for breaks shall not be counted as part of the minimum time required for group sessions.
