Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Forklift Operator/Material Handler to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of heavy equipment, including forklifts, reach trucks, and clamp trucks, to efficiently load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse. Your expertise in warehouse management systems, order picking, and materials handling will ensure smooth distribution operations and maintain high safety standards. Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, Hi-Lo lift trucks, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment to load and unload shipments.
- Manage inventory movement within the warehouse using warehouse management systems (WMS), ensuring accurate order picking and shipping & receiving processes.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic repairs or notify maintenance for mechanical issues to ensure optimal operation.
- Assist with manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting and materials transfer to support warehouse distribution activities.
- Support order picker operations by accurately selecting products according to order specifications while adhering to safety standards in production environments.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following OSHA safety standards and warehouse safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize storage solutions, improve workflow efficiency, and uphold safety standards in all activities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, or similar heavy equipment within a warehouse setting.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and experience with order picking procedures.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards in production environments and commitment to maintaining a safe workplace.
- Strong manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy items safely and efficiently.
- Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and documentation accuracy.
- Warehouse experience including shipping & receiving, heavy lifting, load & unload operations, and materials handling is highly preferred.
- Valid certification for forklift operation; additional certifications such as reach truck or clamp truck are a plus.

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
