We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Breakfast Attendant to join our dynamic hospitality team. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of breakfast items with precision and care, ensuring presentation and quality meet established standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of breakfast areas, including tables, counters, and food stations, following strict sanitizing procedures
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including toasters, coffee machines, and warming stations
- Follow food safety management protocols to ensure all food handling and storage meet health regulations
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, assembling ingredients, and portioning items accurately using basic math skills
- Process cash transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems while providing friendly in-person customer service
- Restock supplies regularly to ensure the breakfast area is fully equipped and inviting for guests
- Support catering or banquet setups as needed, demonstrating flexibility within the food service environment
- Handle weight-based tasks such as portion control or ingredient measurement with attention to detail
- Uphold food safety sanitizing procedures consistently to prevent contamination and ensure a safe dining experience
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation within a restaurant or catering setting, preferably with fine dining or hotel breakfast service background
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and sanitizing procedures in the food industry
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests in person
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to manual handling guidelines
- Basic math proficiency for accurate portioning, measurements, and cash handling transactions
- Familiarity with POS systems for processing payments smoothly
- Experience in serving at breakfast or buffet settings, including banquet or catering environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of wine or beverage service is a plus but not required
- Ability to work early mornings with flexibility in shifts; physical stamina for weight handling tasks in a fast-paced environment
