Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized Vendor Specialist with experience working with large retailers and managing daily information flow and fulfillment activities.
This role is focused on vendor support — not traditional retail customer service. The ideal candidate understands retail vendor operations, account coordination, order management, and maintaining strong professional relationships with corporate buyers, category managers, and supply chain teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a key support resource to the Director for retail vendor account management.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with buyers, replenishment teams, and vendor support departments
- Coordinate purchase orders, inventory updates, routing compliance, and shipment tracking
- Communicate professionally with retail corporate teams regarding order status, timelines, and operational updates
- Collaborate internally with logistics, operations, production and warehouse teams to ensure retailer expectations are met
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience working with large retail corporations such as Target, Walmart, Sam’s Club, Costco, or similar national retailers
- Strong understanding of retail vendor processes
- Experience handling purchase orders, shipping coordination, and vendor communications
- Ability to manage deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities
- Microsoft Excel and reporting experience
- Experienced in distribution environments
Pay:
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift – 8:30am-5:30pm
- Overtime needed when busy
- Monday to Friday
- Full Time
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Compton, CA: Reliable transportation or planning to relocate before starting position (Required)
