Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team within family medicine and renal care. This position requires strong clinical skills, excellent patient service abilities, and a thorough understanding of medical procedures and terminology. This position is part-time and will float between Renal Care Consultants, 88 Osborne Street, Johnstown, PA and Prime Care Providers locations in Richland, Westmont and occasionally Somerset, PA.
Duties
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Prepare patients for examinations.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including coding for billing purposes.
- Answer phones, schedule patients, check in patients.
- Provide support to patients by addressing their needs and concerns effectively.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain clean office environment.
Skills
- Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the healthcare team.
- Experience in an medical doctor office is preferred
- Experience with renal care is preferred
- Proficiency in taking vital signs accurately and efficiently.
- Familiarity with coding practices for medical billing purposes.
- Strong interpersonal skills to provide excellent patient service and support.

Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
