In this energetic role, you will operate specialized tow trucks to assist stranded motorists, recover vehicles from accident scenes, and ensure safe transportation of vehicles to designated locations. Duties
- Operate tow trucks, including flatbed and wheel-lift models, to recover and transport vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Conduct automotive diagnostics to assess vehicle condition and determine appropriate recovery or repair procedures.
- Load, unload, and secure vehicles using appropriate equipment such as straps, chains, or forklifts when necessary.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients, explaining services, and addressing concerns professionally.
- Manage conflict situations with tact and diplomacy while maintaining safety protocols during roadside assistance or vehicle recovery.
- Perform basic automotive repairs or mechanical troubleshooting when required to facilitate vehicle recovery or minor fixes on-site.
- Maintain accurate logs of all recoveries, loads, unloads, and service calls for record-keeping and reporting purposes.
Experience
- Proven experience operating tow trucks, including flatbeds or wheel-lifts, with a strong understanding of towing procedures.
- Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive diagnostics and repairs.
- Familiarity with manual transmissions and automotive repair tools is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of conflict management techniques to handle challenging customer interactions effectively.
- Strong driving skills combined with excellent customer service abilities to ensure positive interactions at all times.
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
