Operations & Sales Assistant (Part-Time Contract)
Location: Wilmington, NC (On-Site)
Pay: $22/hour (1099 Independent Contractor)
Schedule: Approximately 20 hours per week with a flexible schedule during the first 1–2 months.
About the Role
Orbita is looking for a motivated, tech-savvy Operations & Sales Assistant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving problems, learning new systems, and taking on a variety of responsibilities in a growing manufacturing business.
You’ll work directly with company leadership and gain hands-on experience across operations, manufacturing, shipping, customer service, sales, and AI-powered workflows. We’re looking for someone who wants to grow with the company and take on increasing responsibility over time.
What You’ll Do
Use Claude and other AI tools to improve workflows, documentation, and day-to-day operations.
Assist with manufacturing and production processes.
Help coordinate shipping, order fulfillment, and inventory.
Support customer inquiries and sales efforts.
Learn our products and become confident discussing them with customers and dealers.
Help identify ways to improve efficiency across the business.
Take ownership of projects and contribute wherever needed.
What We’re Looking For
Comfortable using Claude or other AI tools in a professional setting.
Strong computer and organizational skills.
Basic understanding of manufacturing, logistics, or shipping (preferred but not required).
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Interest in sales and building relationships with customers.
Self-motivated, dependable, and eager to learn.
Able to work independently while also collaborating with the team.
Training
You don’t need to know everything on day one. We’ll provide training on our products, systems, and processes. We’re looking for someone with the right attitude, curiosity, and willingness to learn.
