Summary: The Warehouse Delivery Driver will accurately pull orders using a scanner, deliver orders throughout central NY using a company van while performing daily vehicle checks. Must communicate with dispatch, sales staff, and clients during deliveries. You’ll be driving a single-unit vehicle with a gross vehicle weight under 26,001 pounds and towing capacity of no more than more than 10,000 pounds. Requires a Class D Driver’s License.
Essential duties of Position:

Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.

Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods and collect payment for services when required.

Maneuver vehicles into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew and checking that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned.

Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles

Perform the end-of-day loading and fueling procedures on a daily basis.

Comply with the Superior Family of Companies’ safety & health policies and procedures.

Follow safe work practices.

Recognize health & safety hazards and use appropriate safeguards.

Wear appropriate clothing & personal protective equipment (PPE).

Report all incidents, injuries, illnesses, near misses and unsafe conditions immediately.

Participate in process improvements, investigations and corrective actions.

Qualifications:
-
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

One to three years verifiable related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pass required drug test and physical capabilities test (if applicable).

Possess a valid Driver’s License – Class D
