Job Description:
CIMA Plastics Group is seeking a Production Supervisor (PM Shift) to oversee operations on the production floor with the goals of prioritizing safety, promoting a positive workplace culture, ensuring quality and driving productivity. The position will work closely with technical specialists, department leads, office personnel and management. This position requires strong leadership skills, problem-solving skills, organizational skills and a passion for ensuring the smooth operation of production.
Essential Functions:
- Lead, manage and motivate team members to meet or exceed production goals.
- Assist in optimizing injection molding processes, including adjusting machine settings, monitoring equipment performance, and making necessary changes to improve efficiency and quality.
- Provide and/or assist with job training.
- Monitor production rates and quality to ensure efficient operations.
- Resolve production issues where/when possible.
- Report and record daily production results.
- Set up injection molds in injection molding machines and secondary/auxiliary equipment, when necessary.
- Work with Maintenance, Tooling, and Process Improvement Specialist to reduce downtime and improve process.
- Use the Production Schedule and other tools to establish production priorities.
- Audit Standard Work Instructions and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Work with Quality Team, as needed.
- Ensure all activities are carried out in compliance with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.

Skills / Requirements:
- Read, write, comprehend, communicate, follow written and oral instructions, and perform basic math.
- Ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
- Maintain a safe, neat, and orderly work area in accordance with all safety and environmental regulations.
- Ability to set molds and process injection molding machines.
- Ability to safely operate and be certified on a tow motor.
- Experience and/or willingness to learn Scientific Molding principles.
- Solid mechanical ability and understanding of hand tools for setting up equipment.
Education / Experience:
- At least 2 years of leadership experience.
- Experience in plastic injection molding.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
