Definition
Under supervision, serves as general maintenance staff for Lake Casitas Recreation Area (LCRA) during the busy Season (April - September). EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Essential Functions
The duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment to this class.
Primary duties include but at not limited to the following:

Performs janitorial duties maintaining the cleanliness of the LCRA
-
May operate District equipment including, but not limited to, vehicles, mowers, weed whips, backhoe, loader and miscellaneous power and hand tools.

May operate sewage pump truck (higher rate of pay for this duty)

Assists full-time maintenance workers as needed
-
Maintain, trees, plants, shrubs, and waters.
Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION Typical Physical Activities:

Use of office equipment such as computers, copier, telephones,
-
Push, pull, carry, reach and lift equipment weighing up to ninety (90) pounds,
-
Operate District vehicles and maintenance equipment

Stoop, kneel, crouch and climb during field routines; stand and walk for extended time periods; walk in uneven terrain, in an outdoor environment and on a boat subject to wave motion of lake;

work in an outdoor environment exposed to natural weather, flora and fauna conditions of Southern California and significant temperature changes between cold and heat;
-
Sit for extended time periods;
-
Hearing and vision within normal ranges.
