Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with intake procedures to ensure a seamless check-in process
- Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature accurately
- Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort throughout their visit
- Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks including medication administration, wound care,positioning, and basic life support when needed
- Maintain detailed documentation using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, including ICD coding and medical history updates
- Conduct eye testing using a snellen chart
- Obtain urine samples
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in outpatient clinics, hospital settings, or specialty areas
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and ICD coding standards required for accurate documentation
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent is necessary to respond effectively in emergency situations
- Demonstrated ability to handle intake procedures, take vital signs, and assist with medication administration confidently
- Experience with EHR systems and familiarity with workflows are essential for success in this role
- Strong patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations including geriatrics patients
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
