Position Summary
Under the supervision of Enlace Comunitario’s (EC) Associate Director of Clinical Services, the Early Childhood Life Skills Specialist (Specialist) provides behavioral health/ management support services to children and youth through one-on-one appointments or in group contexts. The Specialist may also perform select administrative support duties. The Specialist will work closely with EC’s clinical and case management teams. Must be available to work some evening hours.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Plan and facilitate weekly Life Skills Groups for children and youth (ages 0-12yrs), which can be hosted in conjunction with EC’s parenting classes;
- Assist with the coordination of parenting classes (e.g., registration of families, coordinate lists for children’s groups, etc.);
- Complete safety plans for each child/youth case, as needed;
- Assist with coordinating meals for weekly adult, children, and youth therapy and life-skills groups.
- Assist with maintaining department food inventory by monitoring stock levels, ensuring adequate supplies are available, and coordinating timely purchases and reorders.
- Schedule and coordinate child and youth-related engagement activities;
- Assist in developing the curricula for child Life Skills Groups (ages 0-12yrs);
- Provide individualized, non-therapeutic social-emotional and life skills support to children and youth ages 0-17, tailoring sessions to each client’s individualized service plan (ISP) goals and developmental needs.
- Provide guidance and support to the survivor parent by incorporating them into non-therapeutic life skills sessions. These sessions will model effective strategies and provide the parent with practical tools to reinforce the individualized service plan goals the child or youth is working toward.
- Maintain comprehensive files and data related to child/youth cases—including entering all events, notes, service plans, and other affiliat
- Keep the children’s area organized;
- Model best practices to volunteers and work-studies while working with children/youth (ages 0-17 yrs);
- Complete intakes for children and youth that are engaged in services
- Keep a current client list of children and youth that are engaged in services
- Coordinate the development of flyers with Communications for the life skills groups (ages 0-17 yrs. old)
- Assist in coordinating, scheduling, and tracking counseling referrals for adult, youth, and child clients, ensuring accurate documentation, timely follow-up, and continuity of care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, individual and group supervision, staff meetings, and position-related trainings to promote collaboration, support ongoing professional development, and ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Support the coordination of cross-departmental events, trainings, and initiatives, including case management and prevention efforts. Provide support to Promotoras through capacity-building opportunities and skills development, particularly when working with children.
- Attend biweekly peer-to-peer, non-therapeutic support calls for specific grantors, as needed.
- Provide support to the Crisis Intervention Team by assisting with front desk and/or phone coverage as needed.

Position Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree (early childhood development preferred), OR
- A high school diploma or equivalency with two years’ worth of work experience, at least one of which directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified above; AND
- Bilingual (English-Spanish), written and verbal required.

Pay: $24.00 - $27.50 per hour
