Kew Gardens SEP Inc, we are greatly happy to announce that we are currently looking for Special Education Itinerant Teachers (SEIT) in the Queens, Brooklyn, Bronx & Manhattan area. SEITs are to provide educational services for preschool children between the ages of 3 to 5 years. The SEIT will work with the student during school hours providing personalized instruction and support to help them achieve their academic goals.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in a childcare setting
- Special education background with knowledge of IEPs
- Ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Early childhood education or preschool teaching experience
- Strong classroom management skills
- Experience working with students with autism
- Proficiency in lesson planning and literacy education
- Bilingual Language Extension for bilingual cases
- Collaborate with principal, teacher, therapist and other support services
- Required master’s in education.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: $70.00 - $80.00 per hour
