About Us
Greater Heights HR provides premium, scalable human resources consulting and fractional HR management to growing businesses across the United States. We serve as the dedicated HR department for our clients, managing everything from foundational compliance to strategic workflows. We are looking for an ambitious, high-potential professional who wants to hit the ground running and grow into a full-time foundational member of our firm.
Position Overview
Are you early in your HR career but possess the sharp instincts, technical aptitude, and problem-solving drive of a seasoned pro? This role is designed for a high-potential "rising star" who is ready to step out of rigid corporate boxes and take on real, varied responsibilities.
You will handle a broad spectrum of HR functions for our diverse client portfolio. While we support clients across multiple US time zones, our operations focus on standard Monday through Friday, 9-5 business hours. This position begins part-time (~10 hours/week) to allow you to learn our client base, with a structured roadmap to transition into a full-time, higher-compensated role at the 90-day mark based on performance.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Onboarding & Offboarding: Coordinate client employee lifecycles, manage documentation, and ensure seamless system setups across varying state jurisdictions.
- HRIS & Payroll Management: Maintain, audit, and input data across client platforms (including Paylocity, UKG/UltiPro, SAP, or custom systems) with absolute accuracy.
- Core HR Functions & Support: Assist with recruitment coordination, basic employee relations documentation, benefits administration tracking, and standard HR initiatives.
- Compliance & Safety: Help research state-specific employment laws and maintain required workplace safety documentation, including OSHA compliance logs.
- Client Communication: Serve as a responsive, professional point of contact for day-to-day client administrative inquiries.
Stringent Requirements
- Core Experience: Foundation across all primary HR functions (onboarding, payroll/HRIS exposure, administration, and basic compliance). We are targeting someone newer to the field but with a rock-solid grasp of the fundamentals.
- Self-Teaching & Troubleshooting: Exceptional ability to self-teach. When faced with an unfamiliar software feature or a niche state rule, your first instinct must be to research, read documentation, and troubleshoot independently before escalating.
- Schedule Reliability: Available to work consistently during standard Monday–Friday business hours (9 AM – 5 PM). While clients span multiple time zones, tasks must be managed proactively within standard daily windows.
- Technical Setup: A dedicated, secure home office workspace equipped with high-speed internet and reliable computer hardware capable of running multiple cloud platforms simultaneously.
- Education/Certification: A Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on professional experience) is preferred. SHRM-CP or PHR tracking is a plus.
Hours & Career Progression Plan
- Days 1–90 (Trial Phase): Part-time contract baseline (~10 hours/week, expanding with project demand) at $20.00 – $25.00/hr. Focus is on mastering client workflows, demonstrating flawless accuracy, and proving your self-teaching capabilities.
- Day 90+ (Launch Phase): Upon a successful 90-day review demonstrating autonomy and high performance, this role is structured to transition into a Full-Time (40 hours/week) position accompanied by a competitive, merit-based hourly increase.
