Front Office Receptionist – Veterinary Practice
Job Summary
Valley Veterinary Associates is seeking a friendly, organized, and compassionate Front Office Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for our clients and their pets, you will play an essential role in creating a welcoming experience while helping our hospital run efficiently.
The ideal candidate enjoys working with people and animals, is comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment, and has strong communication and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls
- Schedule appointments and manage the daily appointment calendar
- Welcome clients and their pets with professionalism and compassion
- Check patients in and out for appointments
- Process payments and handle client billing
- Maintain accurate client and patient records
- Communicate with veterinarians and technicians regarding appointments and client needs
- Respond to client questions and provide general information about services
- Assist with administrative tasks and help keep the front office organized
- Support the veterinary team with other duties as needed
Qualifications
- Previous front office, receptionist, customer service, or administrative experience preferred
- Veterinary or animal care experience is a plus but not required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in a busy environment
- Comfortable working with computers and learning veterinary practice software
- A genuine compassion for animals and the people who care for them
