Skilled CNC Machinist/Programmer

2nd Shift: 00:00:00 – 12:00:01
Pay:
$17.00 Per Hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Position and secure workpieces on machines using holding devices, measuring instruments, hand tools, and hoists
- Remove workpieces from machines and verify conformance to specifications using microscopes, gauges, calipers, and micrometers
- Verify alignment of workpieces with rules, gauges, or calipers
- Move cutters or material manually or by engaging automatic feeding mechanisms to mill workpieces to specifications
- Monitor gauges, dials, and indicators to ensure machines operate properly
- Study blueprints, job orders, and machining instructions to determine specifications and tooling requirements
- Change worn cutting tools using wrenches
- Select and set cutting speeds, feed rates, depths of cuts, and tooling based on instructions and metal properties
- Install tools in spindles
- Control equipment operations and ensure product quality
- Assess machine performance and make adjustments to improve efficiency and accuracy
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year manual mill experience
- Experience in using hand tools
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Attention to detail
- Critical thinking skills
- Basic organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience programming CNC machines
- Knowledge of G-code or other machining languages
- Familiarity with blueprints and technical drawings
Preferred Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior CNC machining experience preferred

- On-site work environment
- Ability to respond quickly to sounds and visual cues
- Proper use of personal protective equipment
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
- Physical ability to work in a manufacturing setting
