This position will perform shipping and receiving duties; maintain the work area in an organized fashion, receive and inspect materials and handle administrative tasks related to sales warehouse processes.

Position Summary
Dana Safety Supply is seeking a dedicated Warehouse Assistant to join our installation team. This dual-role position is critical in supporting the daily activities of our Installation shop, ensuring efficient shipping and receiving while assisting in the preparation of emergency equipment for our customers.
The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for maintaining inventory control, managing shipping and receiving duties, and supporting the installation team with vehicle prep and equipment installation. This is a full-time (40 hours per week), hourly position.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse & Inventory Management

Perform all shipping and receiving duties, including the use of UPS/FedEx online software.

Receive products and organize them for upcoming projects to maintain an efficient workflow.

Ensure inventory remains secure and accurate through consistent inventory control practices.

Interpret packing slips and accurately enter receipt data into the company's purchase order and processing database.

Complete bills of lading and other required forms for major freight carriers.

Estimate shipment weights to calculate accurate shipping costs.

Utilize proper packaging methods and follow visual aids for specific requirements.
Production & Installation Support

Assist with the prep work and installation of emergency equipment as directed by the Install team.

Act as a lot porter, checking in vehicles and moving them safely around the facility as needed.

Clean and prepare customer vehicles for delivery following the completion of work.
Facility Maintenance

Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse area, including regular trash removal.

Ensure the inside office area is kept clean and professional for customer visits.
Qualifications & Requirements

Education/Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or production environment is preferred.

Technical Skills: Proficiency with computers is required; experience with Microsoft Office is highly helpful.
- Certifications: Must be able to be trained and certified on a forklift (or hold a current license).

Physical Demands: Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. regularly and perform physical tasks such as sitting, standing, bending, and reaching.

Driving Record: A valid driver's license and a clear driving record are required, as duties include operating a company van.

Compliance: Successful completion of pre-employment testing, including background checks, motor vehicle checks, and drug tests.
