Our morning Cook would be responsible for creating a delightful breakfast menu of both sweet and savory items for an 12 room Bed and Breakfast. Will be able to provide tasteful presentations to guest at a table or providing breakfast in bed. The role will be responsible for maintaining a clean kitchen, quality, as well as the health requirements from the health department.
Responsibilities:
- Work to management to plan ever changing seasonal menu offerings
- Execute menu items in a timely manner and meets quality standards
- Accommodate and follow dietary restrictions
- Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and portion sizes
- Prepare an afternoon baked good (i.e. Cookies, brownies, cakes)
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and storage areas
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations
- Create and maintain inventory
- Maintain a friendly and warm demeanor.
- Communicate your needs with Managers
Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years experience in food service or culinary field preferred
- Food Handlers Certification (must comply with State requirements)
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.

- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a focus on providing exceptional guest experiences
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations calmly and efficiently
