Duties:
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential and commercial buildings
- Read blueprints and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure plumbing systems are installed correctly
- Inspect plumbing systems and identify issues or potential problems
- Perform routine maintenance on plumbing systems to ensure optimal performance
- Respond to service calls and troubleshoot plumbing issues
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients
Skills:
- Proficient in basic math for measuring, cutting, and fitting pipes
- Experience in remodeling projects, including bathroom and kitchen renovations
- Knowledge of general maintenance person skills, such as carpentry and basic electrical work
- Ability to plumb and build new structures or modify existing ones
- Familiarity with pipe threading techniques and equipment
- Field service experience, including working on-site at various locations
- Physical strength and ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary
- Welding skills for joining pipes or repairing metal fixtures
$$ Pay can range from $34/hour up to $50 an hour depending on schooling and experience level!
