Duties
- Design food specials, assist in menu planning.
- Lead food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring all dishes meet established standards for taste, presentation, and safety.
- Supervise kitchen staff during night shifts, providing guidance, training, and support to maintain high performance levels.
- Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to optimize kitchen efficiency.
- Oversee food safety protocols and sanitation practices in compliance with health regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Coordinate catering events and banquet services, ensuring timely setup, food presentation, and guest satisfaction.
- Maintain smooth kitchen operations by managing shift schedules, delegating tasks effectively, and resolving any operational issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food production, restaurant management, or culinary roles with a focus on leadership.
- Strong background in banquet service, catering, fine dining, or hospitality environments.
- Demonstrated supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Extensive knowledge of food safety standards, inventory management, and food handling procedures.
- Skilled in menu planning, food preparation techniques, and kitchen management tools.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with staff and front-of-house teams seamlessly.
- Able to lift more than a 100 lbs, climb ladders and stand for long shifts.
