We are looking for enthusiastic and compassionate individuals who enjoy working with pets and their owners. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and thrive/grow within the physical and emotional strain of working in the veterinary field. This position requires a minimum of two years of experience working with animals in a veterinary setting.
Required Skills
- Collect clear and concise patient history
- Perform x rays, blood draws, wound care and any other procedures needed.
- Keep all working areas clean and stocked with needed materials.
- Monitor hospitalized patients and give all care they may need including: feeding, cleaning, monitoring IV fluids, administering medications, and alerting the veterinarian to any changes in the patient's condition.
- Triage and treat emergent patients as directed.
- Prepare patients for surgery.
- Monitor vital signs while under anesthesia.
- Prepare patients for euthanasia.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.50 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
