Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness across various facilities, ensuring a welcoming and hygienic environment for guests and staff. This role is essential in upholding our standards of cleanliness and providing exceptional service in the hospitality or janitorial industry. Prior experience in hotel, custodial, or industrial cleaning is highly valued, along with strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to cleaning tasks.
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, public areas, and other designated spaces using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Conduct floor care including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Restock supplies such as toiletries, linens, and other essentials to ensure rooms are fully prepared for guests.
- Handle special cleaning projects such as deep cleaning carpets or upholstery as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of all areas according to established protocols, including bathrooms, kitchens, hallways, and lobbies.
- Follow safety procedures related to industrial cleaning and janitorial tasks to ensure a safe working environment.
- Report maintenance issues or damages promptly to management for resolution.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations related to hospitality and custodial services.
Requirements
- Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or hospitality environments; hotel experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform thorough cleaning efficiently.
- Experience with industrial cleaning equipment and supplies preferred.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Custodial or housekeeping management experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the shift; ability to lift moderate loads is beneficial.
