Commercial Construction Project Manager

Position Summary
NCC Builders is seeking an experienced, motivated, and detail-oriented Commercial Construction Project Manager to oversee commercial construction projects from preconstruction through final completion. The Project Manager is responsible for planning, budgeting, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, client communication, quality control, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
This position requires strong leadership, technical knowledge, and the ability to build lasting relationships with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and project teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple commercial construction projects simultaneously.
- Develop and maintain project estimates, schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
- Coordinate all phases of construction from preconstruction through closeout.
- Review drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documents.
- Lead project kickoff meetings and ongoing coordination meetings.
- Manage subcontractor procurement, scopes of work, and contract administration.
- Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, inspectors, and vendors.
- Monitor project costs and approve subcontractor invoices and owner billings.
- Identify and manage project risks while developing practical solutions.
- Prepare and process Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, contract requirements, and company quality standards.
- Work closely with Superintendents to maintain schedule, safety, and field productivity.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and address project issues.
- Maintain accurate project reporting for management and clients.
- Manage project closeout, punch lists, warranties, and final documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum 3 years of commercial construction project management experience.
- Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods and building systems.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Experience managing project budgets and schedules.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar).
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.

- Ability to travel between job sites and the office.

- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions when visiting job sites.
