Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented On-Call Housekeeping, Janitor, and Laundry professional to maintain the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of our facilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong custodial skills, experience with cleaning and sanitation procedures, and a commitment to providing a welcoming environment for all visitors and staff. This role involves performing a variety of cleaning tasks, operating cleaning equipment, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols to uphold high standards of hygiene and facility maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas including floors, windows, restrooms, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment.
- Operate floor buffers, vacuum cleaners, steam cleaners, and other custodial tools to maintain cleanliness and floor care standards.
- Handle chemical agents safely by following proper handling procedures and safety protocols to prevent accidents or contamination.
- Conduct laundry duties such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or uniforms while maintaining proper sanitation standards.
- Assist with minor maintenance tasks including basic repairs, painting touch-ups, and facility upkeep to support overall building operations.
- Follow safety guidelines during heavy lifting or manual handling activities to prevent injuries and ensure safe work practices.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, notifying management when supplies need replenishment or repairs are required.
- Support sanitation efforts by adhering to health regulations and ensuring all areas meet cleanliness standards for both residential and commercial environments.
Skills
- Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles with knowledge of commercial or residential cleaning practices.
- Skilled in operating various cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and steam cleaners.
- Knowledge of chemical handling safety procedures and sanitation protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper lifting techniques.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for maintaining cleanliness standards across multiple areas.
- Customer service orientation with the ability to respond professionally to requests from staff or visitors.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks including minor repairs, painting, and general upkeep.
- Experience in industrial cleaning or porter duties is advantageous for supporting larger-scale facility operations.

Pay: $18.25 - $20.00 per hour
