Job Description:
HumanHire is working with a manufacturing company out of Melville, NY who is looking to add a 5-axis CNC Machinist to their team! This manufacturer has a reputation for promoting a strong work/life balance!
The 5-axis CNC Machinist will be operating Haas UMC-500SS high-speed 5-axis machining centers and working with automated manufacturing systems.

5-axis CNC Machinist Responsibilities
- Set up and operate Haas UMC-500SS high-speed 5-axis CNC machining centers to produce precision components.
- Operate and monitor automated machining systems, including robotic loading systems and pallet pools.
- Perform CNC machine setups, including tooling, workholding, offsets, fixtures, and machine adjustments.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, CAD models, and GD&T to ensure parts meet specifications.
- Inspect finished components using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and other precision measuring equipment while troubleshooting quality or machining issues.
5-axis CNC Machinist Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with Haas UMC-500SS machines and high-speed 5-axis machining.
- Experience with CNC milling, machine setup, tooling, and machining operations; CNC lathe experience is a plus.
- Experience with robotic automation, pallet pools, or other automated CNC manufacturing systems.
- Ability to read technical drawings and use precision measurement equipment; CAM/Mastercam experience is preferred.
