Duties
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostics using schematics and automotive electrical system repair techniques to identify issues with diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, suspension, and other mechanical systems.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, shocks & struts replacement, alignment checks, and HVAC system servicing to keep equipment in optimal condition.
- Repair and fabricate components using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques to address equipment failures or custom modifications.
- Troubleshoot and repair heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers, and other industrial machinery by interpreting schematics and technical manuals.
- Conduct heavy lifting operations safely while handling farm machinery or industrial equipment during repairs or assembly processes.
- Maintain detailed service records for all repairs and maintenance activities to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs while adhering to safety protocols and quality standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or Heavy Equipment Technician with Diesel/automotive shop experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, suspension components, and HVAC systems.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and automotive electrical diagrams for diagnostics and repairs.
- Hands-on experience with heavy truck repair, forklift maintenance, excavator servicing, crane operation & repair, and farm machinery is highly desirable.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment (including soldering), and fabrication techniques for equipment repair or assembly.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while working on large machinery or vehicle components.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members.
- Valid certification in automotive diagnostics or heavy equipment mechanics is preferred; ongoing training in diesel engine repair or related fields is a plus.

Pay: $800.00 - $1,500.00 per week
