Schwartz Semerdjian Cauley Schena & Bush LLP is a highly esteemed boutique law firm in downtown San Diego. We foster a collaborative atmosphere and offer an excellent benefits package. We are seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our personal injury/Tort team.
The ideal candidate will assist assigned attorneys with all aspects of the litigation process, from initial case assessment to trial. This includes managing discovery, preparing for and attending depositions and trials, and organizing related exhibits, productions and case files.
Key responsibilities include:
Discovery Management:
· Draft discovery requests and review documents for relevance
· Subpoena documents and witnesses
· Manage complex productions within an eDiscovery platform
· Summarize and index documents
· Work with electronically stored information (ESI)
· Prepare deposition exhibit lists and deposition notebooks
Trial Preparation:
· Maintain Exhibits List
· Prepare trial exhibits and binders
· Coordinate witnesses and experts
· Manage outside vendors
Skills and Qualifications:
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to proactively manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
· Familiarity with legal software and technology (Relativity and/or Nextpoint a plus)
· Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
· Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
· Paralegal certificate from an ABA approved paralegal program
Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
