Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Lead Bartender/Mixologist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of mixology and a flair for creating innovative cocktails that enhance our guests' dining experience. As a Mixologist/Lead Bartender, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, providing exceptional customer service, ordering all beverages, training bar team, ordering, weekly inventory, helping supervising floor, and maintaining a well-organized clean bar area. Your expertise in the food and beverage industry will contribute to the overall success of our establishment.
Responsibilities
- Order through vendors and create relationships and promos.
- Inventory done weekly for cost per item and total beverage cost.
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, wines, and specialty drinks.
- Create unique drink recipes that align with seasonal trends and customer preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
- Interact with guests to provide recommendations and ensure an exceptional dining experience.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate beverage pairings with menu items.
- Monitor inventory levels of bar supplies and assist in ordering as needed.
- Responsible for weekly and monthly ordering and inventory.
- Adhere to all local laws regarding alcohol service and ensure responsible serving practices.
- Participate in catering events and banquets as required, showcasing your mixology skills in various settings.
- Build relationships with vendors. Purchase all alcohol, wine, beer, NA beverages for property.
- Train bar team on cocktails, wine, and beer program.
- Supervise team members in FOH on floor when manager no present. Close out servers and bartenders.
Experience
- Previous bartending experience in a restaurant or Bar focused dining environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of food handling and food safety practices is essential.
- Familiarity with Toast POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Experience in catering or banquet service is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment are required.
- A passion for the food industry and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service will set you apart as an ideal candidate.
- Knowledge of craft cocktails, classic cocktails, wine, and beer.
