Job Summary
GREE US is seeking a dynamic and bilingual Logistics and Parts Supervisor to lead our warehouse operations with enthusiasm and precision. This role will be on-site at our Jamaica, NY warehouse. In this position, you will oversee the efficient management of inventory, shipping, receiving, and distribution processes while also communicating with our oversees manufacturer regarding incoming ocean freight. Your leadership will drive process improvements, optimize warehouse workflows, and foster a collaborative team environment. Fluency in both English and Mandarin is required, as the manufacturing group is located abroad in Guangdong, China. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence logistics excellence within a fast-paced distribution environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and materials handling to ensure smooth operations.
- Oversee a team of warehouse staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to promote high productivity and morale.
- Coordinate shipment arrangements with the manufacturer(s) oversees. Ensuring accurate shipment tracking and lead times.
- Coordinate logistics operations with third-party logistics providers (3PL) and internal departments to meet delivery deadlines and quality standards.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS), and Cycle Counting tactics to track stock levels, process orders, and manage data accuracy.
- Conduct regular safety audits adhering to OSHA standards; promote a safety-first culture among team members.
- Manage shipping & receiving schedules, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to company policies.
- Support warehouse expansion efforts including e-commerce fulfillment growth; adapt processes for increased distribution center operations.
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, inventory management, and logistics coordination within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong team management skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop warehouse staff effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Mandarin; capable of managerial communication across diverse teams.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), MS Office.
- Mechanical knowledge related to material handling equipment operation such as forklifts; understanding of heavy lifting safety protocols.
- Familiarity with process improvement methodologies like lean management; experience implementing operational efficiencies.
- Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures along with materials handling best practices aligned with OSHA standards.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities within distribution center operations; excellent problem-solving skills.
